Municipal Acquisitions is excited to announce the topping out of Kaufmann Hall at Greenville University. Municipal Acquisitions structured a transformative $36.25 million build-to-suit leaseback transaction for Greenville University in September 2022, by providing funding for the construction of a dormitory building and athletic facility on campus.

In total, the two buildings will occupy 102,519 square feet, and construction is set to be completed in Spring 2024. Located in the heart of campus, Kauffman Hall will enhance student life at Greenville University.

The topping-out of Kaufmann Hall is an exciting milestone for the project. It signifies the hard work of our whole team as well as celebrates the progression of construction to the final stages.

In addition to Kaufmann Hall, Municipal Acquisitions’ project with Greenville also includes a new athletic facility that will house the University’s football and baseball programs. The facility will include locker rooms, training facilities, team meeting space, museum space, bleachers, and a banquet hall, providing an elevated experience for all student-athletes. The facilities will boost the University’s athletic department as a whole and allow the University to grow these programs.

Overall, Municipal Acquisitions created $75 million in total value for Greenville University, through real estate property tax abatement and ownership of the assets at the end of the 30-year lease term. The construction of these projects will provide Greenville University with much-needed upgrades as the University prepares for a growing student population. We look forward to celebrating the completion of these projects alongside Greenville University in Spring 2024.
